yo yo...ok i dont know how many people are up to date with wats happening in news but there was a "hate crime" in queens last nite where 3 guys beat a black guy with a bat, apaprently said soem racial slurs. However, these black guys were trying to steal a car, the guy who hit him's car. I think its crap that they call it a hate crime, he beat the guy cuz he was trying to steal his car, he didnt beat him cuz he was black. Sure the guy used some racial slurs, but hey, he doesn't have to like black people, but the point is, he beat him cuz he was stealing his car, so dont call it a hate crime, call it wat it is, plain ol' assault

What up. Its been a while, I should probably talk about prom (had a really great time dancing and stuff, everyone looked great, very happy I got to take Nicole), or after prom (good times), or graduation (nice post graduation bbq), or my first day of work (everyone was happy to see me again, all the usuals at the Thiells Custodial Office, and now Adam works with me too which is very cool), or helping Nic pack for her trip (I miss her and I hope shes having fun) or even orientation (our orientation leaders were the shit, and again I did some dancing, met some cool people, and generally had an awesome time), but no. Maybe next time. I decided to post because of something that happened today. I went to shoprite to buy a magazine called Billboard because our professor told us to buy it, so I got there and this lady is shouting at this other lady about something that just got away from her. I thought she was talking about her bags or something that someone stole, a little crazy, whatever. So I go inside, and shoprite staff, dressed in their aprons, are moving around the whole store very creepily. It becomes more apparent that they are looking for something. Soon the crazy lady is talking to a very official looking manager type-person, and I overhear the situation. Her daughter, wearing all yellow, disappeared. She dropped some corn, and her mother went to pick it up; by the time she turned around her daughter was gone. So now I see the panic in every shoprite employees eyes, searching for this little girl. I felt a little helpless. Here I am in a potentially life ruining situation for some poor woman, the whole store looking for this little girl and I'm looking for the magazine rack. Not to be labeled heartless, I wanted to help. I realized the girl probably left the store or they would have found her already, and I decided to go outside. I'd like to say in a climatic turn of events I found the girl hiding in the bagel deli and brought her back myself, but shoprite staff had my idea two minutes before and found her outside somewhere before I even left the store. The PA came on and announced her safety, and everyone let out a huge sigh. I don't know why but it felt profound in some way, the panic, the mothers attitude, the sudden cooperation of an entire store of people with lives and schedules and things to do all searching for one little yellow clad girl. But what do I know, I clean an elementary school for a living. Hey I brought my scraper from last year to impress Mike that I didn't lose it, and he gave me an official custodian shirt (and bought me breakfast too). I'm going to wear it every day I possibly can to work. I cleaned out a lot of my room last night because I had nothing to do, attempting to deal with my issues with girlfriends and vacations (don't ask). But Nic is awesome, I would never doubt her, and so is napping, so I think thats where I'm headed. Tomorrow a short day, since its fourth of July weekend we get out early. This weekend is graduation parties galore. And Monday its the fourth of July. I like summer.

yo yo....at the end of work today we were sittin around hangin out and the adult custodians were all talkin bout their lawns....mowing, fertilizing, not letting wives cut it, etc. It got me thinking, is that wat adulthood is all about? lawns? taxes? insurance? well, i wont ahve that, so im not gonna have a lawn. I want lava instead. Just a pool of flowing lava in place of grass. Also it was funny how when they talk about teachers they use all first names and me and jofi know all the teachers by last names, its weird. Also our boss told us wat happend to all of our old teachers, sadly ALL of mine our gone!

yo yo.... George Lopez is so incredibly annoying. Any time he talks all he does is make fun of mexicans and latinos, as if its soo funny and thats what comedy is craving. Its not. Do a real joke. or stop being latino, which doing a real joke would probably be easier.

What up. Can't believe I'm up, but yesterday was a good day. But lets backtrack a little first. Jason Mraz/Alanis concert...excellent. I really enjoyed it, not to mention knew every word to all of alanis's songs from jagged little pill. Very entertaining. Also it was a huge secret surprise party for me which was very well choreographed. Good work. High school ended this week...but I think I'm gonna tackle that subject another time. Yesterday was the mb picnic which was lots of fun, hitting homeruns and being a horrible pitcher, but Mr. Powers wasn't much better.... he actually played! But in his boot thing, poor guy. Johns graduation party was also fun, I really enjoyed the ping pong and circle chats, and of course the rock lobster. Ok back to bed for me, happy now Karen? (that I updated?)

yo yo....so just got back from the Emergecny Room. I was hangin at steves country club cuz tehre was a playboiy outing so there were hot girls everywhere. As we were hangin around with drunk rich guys and drunk girls i got hit in the head by something, at firs ti thought it was a ball or something but i couldnt really hear and was disoriented. I felt it and there was a lot of blood so i put 2 and 2 together since i was at a golf course. Kyle Emmeret quickly drove me up to the clubhouse and steve called ambulence and there was lots of blood, i looked pretty hardcore. I went to hsptial and got soem staples and a CT scan (negative) and now i got a new shirt and dirtied shorts. I was sooo hoping to see Dr. Carter come in and say "Hi i'm doctor carter" or dr Kovach(he my fav). Its worth it tho, got to see some boobies at the playboy outing.

What up. Good times at Ridgemont High, or NYU, or something, no it was NYU. NYSSMA happened to be there, which was mad cool, hanging out in the square like new times.....man, I've never been so ready and so not ready for something in my life. Don't know how to describe the feeling. Wanting but not wanting to leave so bad. I'm so ready to leave NoRock behind, but I'm not ready to leave certain things... but onto new things. I saw Sweet Charity last night with Nic, and it was very good. I liked the music, but that's because it was Cy Coleman, and I enjoy him and his 1960's grooves. The dancing was also very entertaining, as was the guy sitting near us who was also enjoying the dancing with some enthusiastic head movements. Good night, home pretty late from being slightly lost....its all good. Always an adventure. Backtrack to Friday night where there was backstabbing, brutal attacks, name calling, evil stares, and intentions for world domination. Yes, you guessed it, a delightful game of risk. Vincent and I formed a secret alliance and we worked well until Mark, Liz and Adam realized we were never attacking each other and taking over in different areas...so with a little lack of luck, and three people pummiling my forces into nonexistence I was squashed by a combined Adam/Mark/Liz Army, who are now in a deadlock for the world with the Black Army....with General Vincent in command. Since I was dead they continued without me and I still don't know what happened. Forward track to today. Very hot parade, lack of sleep, good post parade lunch at Ciceros (the last of its kind might I add), good friends, tired me, so I end this post with a prenap poem.
Before I take thy humble nap
And close my eyes to dream the day
I pray I wake before my mother
Wakes me up to drive away
Into the solemn ghetto streets
Where lurks the carpenters proud bride
Who waits for me to pick her up
Oh gangster sister, learn to drive.

yo yo....we just had a hardcore game of risk, although its not done. Me jofi vincent Liz and Mark started out peacefully but Vincent and Jofi seen had a secret under the table (literally) alliance. When we others eventually learned of it me liz and mark teamed up against them and slowly took out jofi, and now have vincent on the run.

yo yo...a few thoughts....the first on Bill Clinton. I was watching him on Larry King Live yesterday(although i wasnt watching it live) and something just struck about the way he speaks. In comparison whenever i hear President Bush speak about a plan or just give a speech it comes off sounding like it was a bunch of information put together by a bunch of different people helping and he doesn't have his heart entirely set on it. When i hear Clinton speak, he really gives off the sense that he knows what he's talking about. Listening to him speak about what he wished he could have done about social security during his presidency but couldnt really made me envious. Now dont get me wrong, i'm not a bush hater, nor do i think its right for people to disrespect their president, but i just really like Bill Clinton.
My second thought is on music. I drove my sister to the dollar store today and while i was waiting outside i was listening to Led Zeppelin. I was thinkin about how in todays age people listen to old "classic" music (Led, Beatles, Sinatra etc) and its not just adults who were exposed to it when it was new, its kids too. I was thinking about in 20 years how many bands and singers who are popular now will be listened to by kids in that age?
My third thought is I love roller hockey.
